A boy I coached for five years should be in the squad for the Brighton match...
... Brighton's squad. Jeremy Sarmiento. Eight years ago he played on the pitch at Upton Park in the final of one of the tournaments organised jointly by the WHU community team and Academy for grassroots clubs. We won 9v4. He was outstanding and I think scored four. No-one made any form of enquiry from the Academy which I'm still disappointed about.

I've coached several players that have reached Championship level but never one who's got on the pitch in the PL. Lovely kid and an Ecuador international though lived in south London from the age of 7 or 8.

Made his PL debut in the week against Leeds for Brighton. Already starting for Ecuador's first team in World Cup Qualifiers and they're six points clear of their rivals in qualifying with four games to go so look good to get to the WC.

If he gets on the pitch he'll be the one looking really dangerous running at you. He'll also go down like he's been taken out by the sniper on WH clips.

If you see some wanker in the crowd with an Ecuador flag it will be me.

I hope he scores a hat trick and we win 6v3.

Tynan's boy is doing very well, and from what I here, could make the grade, hopefully with West Ham. He's currently playing for Barking U18s

Nice one.

I scouted a guy for my Sunday team about 10 years ago. He was doing kick ups and skills on his own over the park.

He had just moved here from Portugal and couldn’t speak any English.

Ended season with about 50
goals.

Turned out he had just been released from sporting Lisbon’s under 21 team. He moved here to work on building site.

He ended up playing for a conference team and brief spell as high as league 1.

Nice one Fifth. Good to see someone you coached go to the very top of the game. Shame he dont play for us but that would perhaps asking too much. :-) I watched his little cameo in the Brighton game and it looked like that he has a very good chance of making it as a professional. Not sure what level as no one is , not even him yet but to be a professional player in of itself is a great achievement.

Now can you start on a new project and develop another for West Ham? You are clearly slacking in your coaching duties just helping this one lad ;-)

Chim you best hope he does come on as he'll only be brought on if they're chasing the game meaning we're winning.
